VERY IMPORTANT NEWS FOR OUR GUESTS!

Protection for foreign consumers with Air tickets and hotels.
-”8th Bis” article

A new law in Argentina will protect the consumer from now on with the prices of services and products destined for foreign tourism. This will avoid the differentiated prices for tourists, which are usually a bit higher than those for local consumers.

The “8th Bis” article specifically mentions air tickets, and promises to protect the tourist as a consumer. From now on all passengers, whether they are local or foreign tourists, will pay the same price.

The argument of “Defensa de usuarios y consumidores” (DEUCO), the Entity of Defense for Users and Consumers, is that … there can not be discriminatory prices for a foreign visitor due to the inequality that this implies…”

Also, Guillermo Lavallen of the Hotels of Tourism Asociation (AHT) clarified that they have put this policy into practice for some years, and that the difference in prices was necessary during the 2001-2002 crisis.
